In a nut shell it is sort of a ballet dancer's workout, pilates, and weightlifting combined.
Well, I'll be honest, I don't really LOVE it, I actually loathe it, but it is one of the only workouts that REALLY challenges me. I think it is so hard on me because I am not flexible AT ALL! I do get a little frustrated with that. But, the workout really leaves you feeling so wonderful overall. I frankly got interested in the workout because I LOVE Kelly Ripa and she swears by it (BTW have you seen her bod?). I haven't been doing it as often as the creators suggest as I admit that I am a bit of a workout addict and it is hard for me to scale down my normal workouts to incorporate this. However, I have been just running and spinning like normal, cut out weights and replaced with Physique 57 about 2-3X week over the past month. Well, with just that I have really started to notice changes in my figure, posture, mood, and overall health! I am so excited about this workout and wished I could actually attend live classes (only in NYC).
I highly recommend it!
